We went to the beach for a wedding this weekend. It’s the first time Joe has ever been (sad, I know). On Saturday morning we got up, had our breakfast and headed out. On the way Joe told us he wanted to play in the sandpit. We told him he’d get to play in quite a big sandpit. Parked the car. Walked up the hill and Joe stood at the top and said “oooohhh Puddle!”!

Joe loves to sit outside and “look at funder up in the plouds”. The other day we were sitting outside looking at the thunder and I hear a very loud thundery sound come from his behind. He looks at me and smiles and says “Big Funder Mum”. That’s right, my boy makes fart jokes. At 2 years old.
Here’s some new photos. The ones at the park are for an ice cream play date that followed a HUGE storm. Was a lot of fun. Wet fun!

We spent Fathers Day in the emergency room with Joe.
Me: What have you got in your mouth?
Him: Money
Me: Spit it out
Him: (opens mouth to show me) All gone
2 hours and an xray later to prove, that yes, in fact, there was money (a penny) in his tummy we made it home.
I asked the nurse what we should do next time (because there WILL be a next time). She said to bring him in if we’re worried. Otherwise just keep an eye out for it on the other end. The glamorous life I lead is sometimes too much to bear!
While I was away I got this email from Ali. I just about died laughing:
“I have just discovered that Joe has been pronouncing caterpillar as “caterbugger”. I have corrected that with an intensive session of speech therapy. He now says “tittypuller”.”
